The walking dead invade Counter-Strike this fall

Every other game has zombies. Why not Counter-Strike too?

Nexon Europe has announced the undead will soon invade one of Steam's biggest franchises with the release of Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies, a free-to-play game that will be available on Steam in Q3 2014.

Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is developed based on Valve’s iconic online action game, Counter-Strike. It'll feature new game modes and creatures, but the ultimate game-changer is the arrival of zombies. Described as "quick, aggressive, and dangerous," the infected will make for a completely new Counter-Strike experience, Nexon says.

“It is our pleasure to launch a free-to-play online version of the all-time favorite FPS via Steam,” said Kenny Chang, CEO of Nexon Europe, in a statement. “Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is a thrilling and easy-to-play game that reaches out to all players. Both players who are new to the game, as well as those that have been logging onto classic FPS games for years, will be surprised with the new action it offers”
