Fans of The Walking Dead will finally have a beer to call their own. Announced today, Terrapin Beer Co. will be creating an official beer inspired by the hit comic series/television show.
The Official Beer of The Walking Dead will be a Red India Pale Ale brewed with blood orange peel. Here's the official description:
"Terrapin Beer Company and The Walking Dead have teamed up to brew the official bear of the undead. Made with blood orange peel, and a horrific amount of hops, this bloodthirsty Red IPA will have you prepared for the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse."
The beer will have a 6.7% Alc/Vol., and will be brewed and bottled by Terrapin Beer Co., which is located in Athens, GA — a fitting location given The Walking Dead's setting.
In related news, new trailers for The Walking Dead Season 6 (above) and the premiere for its spinoff Fear The Walking Dead premiered at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this month.
