Telltale Games' The Walking Dead, the video game series based off of Robert Kirkman's hit comic book series, is now available in stores at retail and digitally on Xbox One and PS4 in North America. The European release has been pushed back to October 31, making it a wonderful play on Halloween.
"Since the series premiere in 2012, the team has been incredibly proud to continue breaking new ground in the art of interactive drama as part of Robert Kirkman's award-winning universe," said Kevin Bruner, President and Co-Founder at Telltale Games. "Now available on over six thousand devices from console to mobile, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 formats usher in an even greater reach for Telltale, and we're excited to be preparing players across the world for a thrilling third season that's yet to come."
To date, Telltale's The Walking Dead series has sold more than 39 million episodes worldwide. The developer/publisher just wrapped up the second season, which puts players in the role of Clementine, the young girl whom we previously protected as Lee in Season One. For those who prefer to play on-the-go, the Vita version will be released next month on November 4th.
Each season includes all five episodes of the main story, with Season One also bundling the 400 Days DLC which bridges the gap between the two season and sheds light on some of the characters you'll meet. It also gives a slight look at the outbreak as it happens.
