The Walking Dead season 7’s U.K. premiere had an emotional line cut from its broadcast

Until death do us part.

The Walking Dead's seventh season began on Sunday night and it was a rollercoaster of emotions for fans. It was disturbingly brutal and gut wrenchingly emotional for fans to watch as two fan favorite characters met their ultimate demise at the hands of the menacing Negan.

For as brutal as it was, U.K. viewers missed a very emotional line due to it being removed from the initial broadcast.

When Negan kills Glenn, Glenn sits up after being brutal beaten twice with Negan's signature weapon. Glenn's right eyeball is protruding from his face as blood streams down his face. He tries to speak but it appears he's been beaten so bad part of his brain may be damaged or he could be in shock. Negan taunts him as blood pours from his mouth. Glenn finally mutters one final line to his lover, Maggie: "Maggie, I'll find you." Negan then mocks him and continues to brutally murder Glenn by smashing his head in with his baseball bat. Negan then walks away, leaving only a pile of mush from Glenn's destroyed head. The scene was later re-added for late night re-runs of the show. You can view the full, uncut scene below.

A scene showing Maggie being murdered instead of Glenn also surfaced online due to the fact AMC filmed seven different death scenes (one for each character) so that the premiere wouldn't be spoiled if something leaked.

The Walking Dead has also been renewed for an eighth season and will return next October. The Walking Dead airs on Sundays at 8/9 PM CST.
