Terminal Reality, the Texas-based independent studio best known for BloodRayne and Ghostbusters: The Video Game, has apparently been shut down.
No official confirmation of the closure has been given, but veteran artist Jesse Sosa's Facebook status update seems to lead the mounting evidence of the studio's shutdown.
"TRI seems to have finally shut down," part of Sosa's status reads. "A lot of different emotions are passing through me at the moment. I left there when I saw things going downhill but I have always kept up with them and hoped for the best."
Sosa continues, "I hope they all land on their feet. Most of those guys are still like family to me."
In March of this year, Terminal Reality shipped The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, a first-person shooter that put players in the boots of Daryl Dixon. It got slammed by critics, scoring just a 32/100 on Metacritic.
Contributing the speculation is the company's website which is under renovation, recommending viewers visit the Facebook page. The last Facebook status update from the company was on October 10, asking for focus testers for a new game. What's alarming is there have been no posts since then. And the last bit of evidence comes from Terminal Reality's Twitter account which has not seen an update since March 22.
Oh did I say that was the last bit of evidence? I think the fact that the studio's phones are no longer working should be a sign.
