The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct’s opening credits heavily inspired by TV show

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is set to release tomorrow, but a leaked video has given us an early look at the game's opening credits. When they say Survival Instinct is inspired by AMC's The Walking Dead television series, they aren't exaggerating. As you can see in the video below, the opening credits draw heavy inspiration from the TV series.

The beginning has the same stylized look and feel as the show, featuring the same music and various abandoned locations — which are presumably places you'll explore in the game. A few noticeable locales include a trainyard, police station, and small town. Developed by Terminal Reality, Survival Instinct follows the two brothers on their gruesome journey to reach the supposed safety of Atlanta. Other than that, not much is known about the game.

For a game due out tomorrow, the buzz surrounding Survival Instinct has been unusually low — especially given Activision's tendency for high budget marketing campaigns. Perhaps the publisher is hoping the series' massive popularity will help boost sales. Last week we were treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the game which stars show favorites Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon and Michael Rooker as Merle Dixon. Prior to that, all we've had was a gameplay trailer.

Survival Instinct is due out tomorrow for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, and PC. We'll be sure to keep you updated if Activision or Terminal Reality release any new assets.
