The War Z exits beta and moves to Steam today

The online multiplayer zombie game The War Z has left beta and is now available on Steam.

Hammerpoint Interactive's game has acquired over 600,000 registered users and typically tracks 150,000 unique players per day. The developer is calling the Steam version a "Foundation Release," which means it's an improvement over the beta but will still receive updates in the coming months.

The basic package on Steam temporarily (it's 10 percent off) sells for $13.49 while the current $22.49 and $44.99 deals net you 2100 or 7500 in-game gold credits in addition to the game.

If you already own the game, you should receive a serial key that lets you convert the game to Steam so you can take advantage of the version's unique features, such as Steam wallet and achievements.
