The Witcher 3 Mod Adds New Animations for Sharpening, Looting, and More

The Witcher 3 has been out and completed for a while now. In fact, CD Projekt Red has completely moved on to work on Cyberpunk 2077. But The Witcher is a beloved series, and the end of Geralt's journey is bitter sweet for many. That's why we're glad mods exist to extend the life of the game even further.

The modding community for The Witcher 3 is pretty substantial. The Nexus page for the game hosts hundreds of mods. One such mod that was recently released is the Complete Animations mod. It doesn't add much in terms of gameplay but adds a lot in the immersion department. Animation has been added for looting, sharpening, applying oils to weapons, eating and more. It even offers fine tuning to how and when animations play.

Here's a rundown of what the mod adds and what's adjustable:

Eating – Also alternate eating animation, togglable, adjustable speed for both versions independently
Horn Eating Anim in combat – togglable
Drinking – Also alternate drinking animation, togglable, adjustable speed for both versions independently
Horn Drinking Anim in combat – togglable
Eating/Drinking from inventory – togglable
Applying oil – togglable, adjustable speed
Looting containers – for all containers except dead bodies, togglable, adjustable starting speed, adjustable ending speed, animation will wait as long as you browse through loot popup, animation ends when you close popup
Looting dead body – different animation for dead bodies, uses loot toggle, other options same as regular looting
Sharpening – when using grindstone, togglable, adjustable speed
Enhancing – when using workbench, togglable, adjustable speed
Allow drink/eat anims in combat – togglable

This mod is available on Nexus Mods for PC players only. Installing mods sometimes takes more than just installing and clicking play, so make sure to follow the modder's instructions carefully.
