Earlier this week, CD Projekt RED detailed the "key changes" coming to The Witcher 3 with patch 1.07. Among the most noteworthy features are a player stash to addres the game's inventory problems and a new, alternative movement response mode for Geralt, which came off a little vague at the time of the announcement.
Taking to the game's forums, CDPR community lead Marcin Momot shed some more light on Geralt's new, completely optional repsonse mode.
"Some players have been reporting that Geralt's responsiveness was not up to their preferences so we are introducing a toggle to switch between two types of responsiveness," Momot said. "Once you play it, you'll be able to choose the one that fits you better."
It's unclear how this new response will feel, but Momot added that the reason they were making it optional was to not affect players who have already sunk lots of time into the game.
"If you put in a lot of hours into the game and we change it all of a sudden, that would feel weird, wouldn't it? That's why we thought it would be only natural to have this as an on/off option," he explained.
The full list of changes with patch 1.07 are expected to be posted sometime this week. As a reminder, this patch number applies to all versions of the game. Previously, the console versions were on a different patch number than PC even though many of the changes were the same. It's unclear how much longer we'll have to wait for the update to arrive, but Momot did say it is "quite large," which could explain why it's taking a long time to test.
