The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looks amazing, even when streamed and compressed

Nvidia took the stage during GDC to show off their new Grid Streaming service on their Shield Console. The console itself is pretty powerful, as is the streaming service… but what was most mindblowing was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay that was streamed on to console.

The game looks gorgeous, there is no denying that — regardless of the fact that it is being streamed, is a compressed video file and isn't even on the highest resolution setting. The gameplay starts out at sunrise and takes you from the open main road into a forest. Every time you hear the wind blow you see the trees move…and the shadows are just phenomenal…and the combat looks like a lot of fun.

Basically, it further raises the hype surrounding the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The best part of the video is around 1:55 when we learn the Polish word for "Look out!" It sounds oddly similar to a favorite expletive of mine…
