Before the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt even released CD Projekt Red promised that they would be supporting the game with free downloadable content, in addition to the two "massive" expansions they had planned for the game (the expansions are not free).
The free DLC for the Witcher 3 came in the form of 16 pieces of post-launch content. The DLC wasn't always something huge, a bit of armor here, weapons there, even some new moves for Geralt, but in the end it was a stand against the DLC economy that has been set in motion by game publishers.
The last piece of content for The Witcher 3 has been revealed and it will bring you back through the game once you beat it, with all of your items and experience from the previous play through. That's right, The Witcher 3 is getting a New Game+ game mode as its last bit of DLC.
"New Game+, the final DLC, is on the way and, of course, it’s completely FREE!," announced CD Projekt Red on Facebook before going on to say that we wouldn't be seeing th DLC this week. "Stay tuned for more info regarding the release. It won’t happen this week though – we need a little bit more time to finish it."
