On May 19th, The Witcher fans were met with their next obsession: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Since its release Wild Hunt has sold over four million copies and has been receiving some stellar reviews. It only makes sense that the wildly successful game topped the sales charts for May.
The game had 12 days to become the number one selling game for May, which is impressive in and of itself. Something slightly more impressive would be the game sitting in the #5 spot, Splatoon. The game is not available across multiple consoles (unlike Wild Hunt), it is a Wii U exclusive, and it released on May 28th.
Within three days the game reached #5 in the top-selling games for May; now that is impressive.
The rest of the list is composed of the usual suspects, Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombat, Minecraft, Call of Duty and FIFA. Check out the top-selling games for May below!
