This week's free Witcher 3: Wild Hunt DLC — the Nilfgaardian Armor Set and Elite Crossbow Set — is now available for download.
But while downloading the free content is as easy as heading the Xbox, PlayStation, or Steam stores, actually obtaining it in-game is a bit trickier. You see, although the content is free to download, you actually have to go to specific people to find it. For example, the Temerian Armor requires you visit merchan Bram.
So for this week's DLC, get ready to travel all over.
The Nilfgaardian Armor Set and Nilfgaardian Crossbow Set all be purchased from the Barons Quartermaster in No Man's Land.
The Skellige crossbow can be bought from Skellige Kaer the Skellige Kaer Trolde Castle Blacksmith, while the Elven crossbow can be bought from the Novigrad Fancy Shop Owner.
As a reminder, these are packs 5 and 6 of the planned 16 free DLC packs for The Witcher 3. Last week's bundle came in the form of a new quest (Contract: Missing Miners) and cosmetic option for Yennefer, while the first week's content offered the Temerian Armor Set for Geralt , as well as a set of new beards and hairstyles for Geralt.
The reamining DLC packs will be released on a weekly basis throughout June and July.
Beyond the free DLC, CD Projekt Red plans to support The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with two "massive" expansions — "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine" — that are included in the game's Season Pass for $24.99.
