The Witcher Battle Arena now available on iOS and Android tablets

Fuero Games and CD Projekt RED have brought Geralt of Rivia straight to your oversized pockets, normal sized backpacks or purses. Basically, wherever you keep your tablet.

The Witcher Battle Arena is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) for iOS and Android tablet. The game features in-game purchases, but every item in the game is unlockable with progress – no purchase necessary.

The game is launching with one map and one mode, but according to Joystiq's interview with Tadek Zielinski – there will be more modes implemented in the future. "We will have different modes in the future. There will be a monster-hunting mode, kind of an isometric multiplayer. There will be a boss mode, where you will be able to fight the bosses – that will be purely a (player verses enemy) experience. And we are thinking of other competitive modes. We have a classic one-lane MOBA experience with towers, but we have a different approach because we don't want to have minions, we don't want to have farming."

For those of you looking to kill some time before the delayed release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, give it a whirl. It's free, so what do you have to lose?
