The Witness, Jonathan Blow's new game for the PlayStation 4, currently has 499 puzzles on its island. Although we've known about the game for quite a while now, the game was officially announced as PS4 timed-exclusive at last month's Sony event. At the time, it was said that there are 25 hours of puzzle gameplay, but what does that equate to in terms of actual puzzles to solve?
According to the latest blog post, the current puzzle count in The Witness is 499. But these aren't just arbitrary puzzles. As it was explained to us last month, every puzzle in The Witness has an idea inside it, and they work to convey the essence of each idea.
Blow also revealed the latest island snapshot, which you can view above. Damn, it looks gorgeous.
