The Wolf Among Us releasing this month; now available for pre-order with 10% discount

Telltale Games' quietly made available pre-orders for their new upcoming series The Wolf Among Us. Just yesterday the developer/publisher told us to stay tuned for the Season Premiere date of the highly anticipated game; apparently, it was sooner than we thought.

We haven't yet received official word from the studio, but over on Telltale's website and on Steam, you can clearly see the PC version of The Wolf Among Us available for pre-order. For a limited time, you can purchase the entire season of the game for $22.49, a 10% discount from its normal price of $24.99. Like Telltale's The Walking Dead series, The Wolf Among Us will be comprised of five episodes that will be released throughout the year. If you plan on playing the game on PC/Mac, you might as well snag the full season and not have to worry about purchasing each episode individually.

From the makers of the 2012 Game of the Year: The Walking Dead, comes a gritty, violent and mature thriller based on the award-winning Fables comic books (DC Comics/Vertigo). As Bigby Wolf – THE big bad wolf – you will discover that a brutal, bloody murder is just a taste of things to come in a game series where your every decision can have enormous consequences.

An evolution of Telltale's ground-breaking choice and consequence game mechanics will ensure the player learns that even as Bigby Wolf, Sheriff of Fabletown, life in the big bad city is bloody, terrifying and dangerous.

If you're not sold on the description alone, I suggest you check out my hands-on preview of the game.

The pre-order discount is valid from now until the game launches, which Steam has pegged for October 2013. The Wolf Among Us is also expected to be released on Xbox LIVE Arcade (Xbox 360) and PlayStation Network (PSN), but we've yet to hear any dates or discounts for those versions yet. We'll be sure to keep you updated whenever we hear from Telltale.
