The Wolverine returning to screen with X-Men Apocalypse? Probably.

Behinds the scenes pictures have been trickling in over the last several months for the 80’s set X-Men Apocalypse movie. The other day new glimpses of Game of Throne’s Sophie Turner getting archery lessons for her turn as Jean Grey offered a glimpse into the kind of training our best mutants might be receiving. Now a bigger announcement comes in the form of fan favorite, Hugh Jackman, as new leaks seem to confirm the actor as returning in his role as Wolverine. Despite protests from Bryan Singer and dodge and weave answers from Jackman, a leather goods fabricator seems to have spilled the beans via Instagram.

How expanded Jackman’s role in the new film will be is still up for debate, but will likely take a back seat as the story seems to be built around new/old characters such as Storm, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler and Jubliee and established show ponies like Wolverine will be probably be relegated to more cameo appearances to give room to fresh faces.

X-men Apocalypse is in active filming with a likely release of May 26, 2016.
