The Yakuza Remastered Collection out now on PS4 with PC version heavily hinted

Japanese publisher Sega has announced an awesome new collection for the PS4. With the Yakuza Remastered Collection, users on Sony’s home console can now replay the PlayStation 3 generation of Yakuza games with all the new bells and whistles. Check out the trailer!

Stealth releases are always a nice surprise, especially if they come from large game companies and doubly so for titles which have been high on the wishlists of gamers for years. Yakuza fans have always enjoyed a reputation for being extremely vocal in their love for the awesome Yakuza franchise. Seeing how the once niche series has grown strong over the years and expanded on new platforms, this enthusiasm seems to have worked nice.

The Yakuza Remastered Collection is far from a typical console generation port. In addition to graphical and performance upgrades (720p –> 1080p at 30fps –> 60fps), all three games have gone through a rigorous re-localization process. The English scripts for each game have been reviewed, revised, and even rewritten in some cases, and content previously cut from the western releases of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 have been re-added in The Yakuza Remastered Collection.

The latest success of the fan base is the Yakuza Remastered Collection. A pretty sweet deal which brings all three main game releases of the series from the PS3 era on the PS4. With a great price point of $59.99 gamers are getting a hell of a deal with three large adventure games. You can buy the collection digitally over on the PS Store or in a limited physical run next year, February 11. The collection will be released staggered with Yakuza 3 being available right now. Yakuza 4 is coming October 29 and Yakuza 5 on February 11, 2020.

With Sega opening up the Yakuza games to PCs last year, it’s only natural that gamers there are hoping for the Yakuza Remastered Collection to arrive on their preferred choice of platform, as well. In an interview with VG247, series Producer Daisuke Sato answered this exact question laughingly with I can’t comment on that at this very moment. …but I wouldn’t say it won’t ever happen. Sounds very much like the collection will come to PC in the near future.
