The wait is over for fans waiting for Indie Games developer Hothead Games to announce the release date and platform details for their much anticipated action-RPG The Baconing. The Baconing is the latest stand alone title from Hothead Games featuring the popular hero, DeathSpank. Discover exciting new worlds and hilarious characters while battling of enemies in search of the Fires of Bacon.
The best news is that it will be available to ALL gamers to play at the end of this month! Announced today, The Baconing, will be available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC, and even Mac.
Playstation Network – August 30/31
The Baconing is a PlayStation Network PLAY promotion title. If you choose to pre-order The Baconing through PLAY, youwill receive an additional co-op character, Roesha, One Bad Mutha and a PlayStation Network theme.
In addition, PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an automatic 20% off every PLAY program purchase.
Xbox LIVE Arcade – August 31
The Baconing will be released on August 31st on Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 for 1200 Microsoft Points.
PC and Mac – August 31
Hothead Games also announced that The Baconing will also be available to both Windows PC and Mac users in August on Steam and the Mac App Store. A pre-order discount of 20% is now available for Steam users who purchase the game ahead of the 31st August release date.
