The Gunstringer Priced at $40, Includes Fruit Ninja Kinect

The Gunstringer seemed to be a perfect fit for Xbox Live Arcade. That’s why it was a bit of a surprise when developer Twisted Pixel announced that the game would be a retail release. It looks like we now have a price for this promising title, as well as some notable extra content.

The Gunstringer will hit store shelves for the lower-than-usual retail price of $39.99. That doesn’t seem like a bad price point by any means, though some gamers may argue that The Gunstringer doesn’t look like the type of game that’s lengthy enough to justify that price tag. However, the devs are throwing in some nice extras to ensure that the asking price is right.

To add to The Gunstringer, the game will also come with a download code for Fruit Ninja Kinect. And in case you weren’t aware, Fruit Ninja Kinect looks freaking boss! Rounding out the package is another code for The Gunstringer’s launch DLC, titled The Wavy Tube Man Chronicles.

Both The Gunstringer and Fruit Ninja Kinect seem like appropriate reasons to shell out the cash for Kinect. Now that they’re both being offered in one retail package, potential adopters of Microsoft’s motion gaming peripheral have plenty of reason to invest in it. The Gunstringer will hit retail shelves on September 13.
