Them’s Fighting Herds is the My Little Pony fighting game you’ve always wanted, without the lawsuits

Listen, I'll be up front about it, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a phenomenal show. Outside of its incredibly childish aesthetic, lies a series with so many positive messages that kids absolutely should be exposed to. Yes, boys too. The show itself deals with various problems, and how to solve them, without resorting to violence.

Alas, I am a gamer, however, and of course the potential of My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic got me extremely excited. A solid 2D fighter based around the world of MLP sounded like a dream! Until it was of course shut down due to legal issues.

But the game is back. This time under a new title, and without the MLP license. What's even cooler though is that Lauren Faust, the creator and producer of the new My Little Pony show, provided her own original characters. That game is Them's Fighting Herds.

The game is currently trying to be funded on IndieGogo, and I highly suggest watching the above video and seeing the game in action. Don't judge it by its cute character. The action itself seems to be quite polished and technical.
