There could be as many as six more ‘Power Rangers’ movies coming

Lionsgate CEO says the new Power Rangers franchise they have planned could go on for as many as seven total movies.

During a recent conference call with Lionsgate investors and analysts, CEO, John Feltheimer, expressed his confidence in the future of the upcoming Power Rangers film. Based on the mostly positive reception following the reveal of the official Ranger suits, Feltheimer feels strongly that they may be sitting on a new, lucrative franchise. He had this to say:

“We are really, really excited about the ‘Power Rangers’ movie. We could see doing five or six or seven”

The assurance in the brand could be based on genuine approval of what they plan to present, or it could simply be a pandoring tactic to hype the movie. In any case, we have seen very little of the film other than most of the main cast, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, and the final suit design. We still have yet to see so much as legitimate concept art for Zordon, Alpha-5, Lord Zedd, or the Zords/Megazord.

The movie stars Elizabeth Banks, Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler, Ludy Lin, Becky Gomez, and Naomi Scott, and is directed by 'Chronicle' director, Dean Israelite.

Power Rangers releases March 24, 2017!
