There’s something that Nintendo hasn’t removed from the Western version of Fire Emblem Fates

After removing the "gay conversion" scene from the Western version of Fire Emblem Fates, another edit to the game was made clear. The mini-game that allowed players to 'pet' the face if in-game companions has also been removed from the game, in hopes of making the game appropriate to the Western audience.

There's one feature of Fire Emblem Fates that Nintendo decided not to remove from the game, the ability to invite companions to your 'Private Quarters,' according to reports from Kotaku. Apparently, late night calls are A-OK in Nintendo's book, but petting someone's face isn't.

After a certain point in the game, players are awarded with a castle-building mechanic. Within this feature there is a special place for players, their 'Private Quarters.' Once you are inside of your humble abode you can choose to do a number of actions, one of which being the option to invite an ally to your room.

"Invite allies over in the afternoon or nighttime to get to know them better. If you marry someone, new events will occur."

Inviting allies over will strengthen your bond with them and allow for some friendly discourse. The events that occur after you're married might be a little moreā€¦ In depth.
