Guardians who purchased Gjallarhorn from Xur the other weekend only to find out it won't be included in the batch of Year One Exotics getting an upgrade for Destiny's Year Two content can rest easy knowing their Strange Coins weren't wasted. Although Bungie wrote last week that Gjallarhorn will remain a Year One Exotic at Year One levels, the latest issue of EDGE Magazine suggests Exotics that don't receive a Year Two upgrade immediately will eventually get one.
"Not all the first-year exotics will be available at launch, though the missing ones will be released over time," EDGE claims. Gjallarhorn may be late to the party, but I'm sure everyone who just purchased is happy to know it's at least coming — eventually.
Using the new Exotic Weapon Blueprint feature, when Bungie finally does bring the Gjallarhorn up to Year Two levels, youw on't need to farm all over for it. As previously explained, if you've already discovered the year-one variant of a weapon, you'll be able to simply build the new year-two version with some materials.
The big question now is just how will the first round of nerfs affect the Gjallarhorn. Will it still be the same overpowered weapon so highly coveted prior to Xur selling it?
