These new Spider-Man: Homecoming posters are laughably bad

This morning we were treated to a helping of new Spider-Man: Homecoming marketing material including a brand new trailer and a couple of posters. While the trailer is a very well made trailer, the posters areā€¦ well they're something to behold.

The first one is cluttered with characters that are poorly photoshopped in, locations like the Washington Monument put right next to New York City, several characters are on the poster twice, and there's a weird fire/explosion effect that is consuming Tony Stark for some reason. When I saw it this morning, I genuinely thought it was fan made and had to look around the internet to find out if it was legit. Sadly, it is very real. The poster almost looks like it's one of those covers that bootleg movie vendors slap on their cases for their illegally recorded movies/really bad movies they sell as a Hollywood feature film.

The second poster isn't nearly as bad but it's not great either. At least it's a step in the right direction!

Spider-Man: Homecoming releases on July 7th, 2017.
