Eidos Montreal is working on Thief 4 for next-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 (codenamed "Durango"), sources confirm.
According to CVG, the latest issue of OXM UK reports that the game, in development for four years, will finally release late next year alongside the predicted launch of Durango.
Audio director and composer Paul Weir left Eidos Montreal in March, and lead level designer Adam Alim departed one month prior. Several concept artists and designers parted ways with the company within the last year, as well.
Job listings for the studio reveal that it is creating a next-gen action-adventure game that involves "player choice" and "stealth." One level designer for Eidos Montreal claims to have worked on "the last level of [Thief 4]," according to Kotaku.
