If you think you have what it takes to be a professional gamer you may want to check out the Guardians of Middle-Earth booth at Gamescom next week where you'll be able to challenge a group of professional Curse gamers in Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's brand new MOBA game.
The Curse team will be at the WBIE booth in Hall 9 for the entire Gamescom event, playing against any gamers who wish to challenge them. At the end of each day, there will be an ultimate battle event between the pros and the best consumer attendees from throughout the day.
"We are really excited to be working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and can't wait for Gamescom. It is an honor to be one of the first teams involved in such a huge game which we think will provide even more opportunities for us and fans in the future," said Curse EU team manager Tomislav "flyy" Mihailov. "Guardians of Middle-Earth is looking great; and, as I'm a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings myself, I am really looking forward to getting my hands on this game."
For those unfamiliar, Guardians of Middle-Earth is a new multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) where players engage in 5 vs 5 action to destroy the opponent's base. Developed by Monolith Productions, Guardians of Middle-Earth will be released for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network, offering console players more than 20 iconic guardians to choose from including Gandalf, Sauron, Legolas, and more.
I had the opportunity to play against some fellow gamers at E3 and, unless they made balance changes, I suggest playing as Gandalf. We recently had the opportunity to take part in a round-table discussion with the Guardians of Middle-Earth devs; you can find even more details about the highly-anticipated game here.
