ThinkGeek’s creepy Joker lawn ornament arrives just in time for Halloween

If you're obsessed with DC Comics' Batman villain The Joker and love Halloween, you may be interested in ThinkGeek's new lawn ornament. Inspired by the "Death of the Family" storyline from the Batman comics, the company's "The Joker Ground Breaker" arrives just in time to terrify the children (or anyone afraid of clowns) in your neighborhood.

The Joker Ground Breaker is based on artist Greg Capullo's design, as the ornament is designed so that the character appears to be clawing his way out of the ground, ready to grab unsuspecting trick-or-treaters. The ornament measures 36" wide x 24" deep x 10" tall, and features "some sort of coated foam" so that it's weather-resistant and safe to put outside.

Here's what ThinkGeek says of the ornament:

"So there was no Joker for quite a while, and then there was a LOT of Joker. He was all over the place when the "A Death in the Family" story arc began.

Just like this yard decoration. There is (presumably) no Joker in your garden currently. But if you get this there could suddenly be a LOT of Joker. From shoulders up, this DC The Joker Ground Breaker "rises" out of your flower garden to terrify your trick or treaters. It'd be awesome to put him out with a motion sensitive spotlight, so he suddenly appears when they walk by. Imagine the faces they'll make!"

The Joker Ground Breaker can be purchased for a surprisingly quite affordable price of $89.99.
