People have been known to throw down a ton of money for items that might seem a bit odd, but hey, people can do what they want with their money, right? We've seen someone spend $41,000 on Michael Keaton's Batman Returns batsuit, a guy spend $20,000 on a life-size anime school girl, and heard about that one person that bought a $129,000 20th Anniversary PS4 at auction.
Now, there's a new way to spend an egregious amount of money on something less useful than a car! This time, only 10 people can spend $59,000 on limited edition Assassin's Creed Origins headsets.
The audio company known as Focal teamed up with French jewelry designers (Tournaire) to create an 18 karat gold adorned headset for Assassin's Creed Origins.
This isn't the first time that Tournaire teamed up with Focal to make a fancy headset and the Assassin's Creed version of their fancy headset is actually the cheaper version. So, at least you know you're saving money on a fancy headset.
Only 10 of the Assassin's Creed Origins headsets will be released and if you're one of those 10 people willing to spend $59,000 on a headset, you have the option to spend more. For another $14,000, you can purchase the bronze bust of Assassin's Creed Origins' protagonist, Bayek, for your fancy new headset to rest on.
Obviously, our heads aren't good enough for the headset, but the bronze head is (and it doesn't even have ears).
