This Mega Man / Mighty No. 9 comic tugs at our heartstrings

Earlier today we posted about Keiji Inafune's Kickstarter, Mighty No. 9, which is essentially a spiritual successor to Mega Man, since Inafune no longer has the rights to the franchise.

It already passed it's initial funding goal, and is nearing the 1 million mark as of this writing.

While many fans are obviously super excited for Mighty No. 9, it's apparent that they still hold the Mega Man franchise close to their heart, and would have liked to see Mega Man Volnutt being rescued from being stuck on the moon.

A tumbler user, All things Shwei, has created a comic which shows Mega Man Volnutt passing the torch to Beck, the protagonist of Mighty No. 9, in a scene that's sure to tug on your heartstrings, if not make you tear up just a tiny bit.
