This pretty much sums up our memories of World of Warcraft’s past

While a lot of people, myself included, remember the "good old days" of World of Warcraft, I can't help but wonder if it's not the game we missed, but the people we played it?

Reddit user Rawtashk recounts their past experiences from World of Warcraft and why Mists of Pandaria wasn't the same:

Everything was different. Not the game itself, but the lack of a guild. For the first 4 years I was in the same guild.

I missed logging in and raiding Kara with 9 people I'd never met, yet knew better than most of my friends. I missed the yelling at each other in Vent while we tried to down High King Mulgar in Gruul's lair. So much coordination, but the excitement we all felt and the screams of joy in vent as he finally fell made it all worth it. I missed being in Vent and just bullshitting about the day with my guildies while I ran through those annoying dailies and rep grinds.

I, too, miss my core guild from the days of Wrath of the Lich King and early Cataclysm. I miss my guild from The Burning Crusade and early Wrath, where we realized that we all lived within a five hour radius of one another. I ended up meeting one of those guildies. My girlfriend had a crush on him.

I may miss the memories of World of Warcraft, but I miss the people more.
