Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has hit its expected second place of biggest December releases ever, right behind another familiar title, but further information on the film keeps coming. One prominent actor from Rogue One has a sequel clause in their contract, meaning they're contractually guaranteed to appear in another Star Wars movie.
That character is someone quite popular from the film, and one that fans most likely wouldn't mind seeing again. The question it brings up is: how?
Spoilers ahead:
The actor in question is Felicity Jones AKA Jyn Erso. For those who accidentally read past this point, I'll leave this purposefully vague: A certain chain of events makes it quite difficult for Jyn's return. But we don't know much about what happens to her between the ages of 10-ish to 20-something. We do know that she was quite a rebel (pun intended) and had many less-than-legal adventures. We also see her in Imperial custody at one point in the film without much in the way of explanation beyond "She's a bit of a troublemaker" or as they say in Star Wars, a scoundrel.
We know there are talks of a young Han Solo movie and that Donald Glover will most likely appear in his role as a young Lando, but doesn't Jyn Erso seem like she'd fit very well in a smuggler origin story alongside Han and Lando?
