If you're a super Nintendo fan, you'll probably want to look away… This isn't something that will sit well with you. Someone has created a limited edition Mario watch that costs more the 90 Wii Us at full price, without shipping and handling included.
Watchmaker Romain Jerome has created a line of 85 Super Mario Bros. watches, with each on featuring a classic 8-bit Mario, a bush, a could and one mushroom on a black background. Each of the 85 self-winding watches comes with a price tag of around $27,000 USD.
The watches will only be available during the 'Watch World Fair' in Japan's Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi store. Why are these watches so expensive? There are no details as to why, but the creator has designed and sold classic themed watches for high prices before. If Jerome's Pac-Man and Tetris-themed watched could be sold for so much, it makes sense that the Mario one would fetch a high price too.
