Not long until one of the most longed for games of the generation is finally landing in our homes. In roughly 3 weeks, Naughty Dog will unleash The Last of Us Part II into the wild and expectations could not be any higher. Not only did the premier Sony first-party developer take its good time with the sequel, but with an infamous leak happening very close to the game’s launch gamers have reached the boiling point in terms of excitement.
PlayStation fans all over the world are hoping for nothing less than the definitive swansong for Sony’s PlayStation 4. With the iconic developer Naughty Dog at the helm and the incredibly popular Last of Us IP backing it up, chances are we are going to receive exactly that.
Naughty Dog Vice President and The Last of Us Part II Director Neil Druckmann will give you a special preview of The Last of Us Part II, coming to PS4 June 19. Neil will walk you through details of the gameplay experience and story.
The current cut is clocking in a little more than 20 minutes, ending with an extended sequence showing off about eight minutes of never-before-seen gameplay.
In preparation for the game’s launch next month, Sony is continuing its strategy of highlighting one particular exclusive in a State of Play event. This digital event format is especially fitting this year since the traditional venues to promote upcoming big game releases have all but been cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The previous State of Play featured Ghost of Tsushima and was a very successful showing as it was chock-full of gameplay footage and developer commentary about the game’s various mechanics and details. Sid Shuman of Sony already confirmed that The Last of Us Part II State of Play episode will be longer than the previous one with a lot of brand-new gameplay footage.
