Happy Thursday, GameZone readers! It's that time of the week when Nintendo unloads a bevvy of questionable releases on its various digital platforms. Every so often, though, we get a game that's worthy of your time, attention, and cash. Let's take a look at this week's Nintendo downloads.
On WiiWare, you can smash monsters in Newton Vs The Horde. The game looks like a physics-based puzzler, and I can't say I'm all that impressed. If it interests you, though, Newton Vs The Horde can be yours for just 500 Wii Points. I'd also like to point out that the lack of a Carmen Sandiego game this week is weird.
DSiWare is once again host to two downloadable titles. The first is Lola's Alphabet Train, which is a spelling game for the kiddies. Then there's Flipper 2: Flush the Goldfish, a 2D platformer that looks decent enough. These bad boys are priced at 200 DSi Points and 500 DSi Points, respectively.
Next up is Mutant Mudds on the 3DS eShop, and this one looks pretty awesome. Hell, it looks really awesome. The game is a 2D platformer, and as Max, you must use your water cannon and jetpack to traverse danger-laden levels. This retro-style game is priced at $8.99, and judging by its recent reviews, it certainly looks to be well worth the price of admission.
Oh yeah, there's also a demo on the eShop for Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. But all you really need to know is that Mutant Mudds is out today.
