This week’s downloadable Nintendo poop 3/15/2012

This week marks the release of several old school titles across the Wii and 3DS digital download services, as well as an original game for the DSi. Sadly, there are no new original eShop games–we all know how cool those have been lately. Still, what's there is good, and it's definitely worth getting excited over. Check out the latest batch of downloads right here.

The Wii Virtual Console is getting a classic fighter this week. If you're in the mood for some 2D brawling, check out Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa's Revenge. That one is priced at 900 Wii Points.

Pirate Assault is the only original title to land this week, and it does so on DSiWare. To be honest, though, this pirate-themed tower defense game doesn't look as enticing as the old school offerings on hand today. If you are interested, however, this one will run you 200 DSi Points ($1.99 on the eShop).

The 3DS eShop is stacked with three classic Sega games. Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble is the first of these, and it's available for $4.99. Not feeling the blue blur? Why not snag the action platformer Shinobi for $3.99 instead? Or maybe you'd you like to take on the classic roguelike Dragon Crystal. If you're up to the task, you can download that one for $2.99.
