This week’s Xbox One Deals with Gold discounts Valiant Hearts: The Great War

If you haven't played Ubisoft's Valiant Hearts: The Great War, you should. And what better time to head to the trenches of World War I than this week, as it's currently on sale as part of this week's Deals with Gold for Xbox One.

From now through September 8, Xbox LIVE Gold members can save 33 percent on Valiant Hearts: The Great War, along with the Battlefield 4 Engineer Shortcut Kit. The Killer Instinct Season 1 Retro Costume Pack is also discounted 50 percent.

Of course, Valiant Hearts is probably the most exciting deal here. For those unfamiliar with the game, it's a puzzle-adventure game set during World War I that tells the story of "4 crossed destinies and a broken love in a world torn apart." The game takes place between 1914 and 1918 and tells the story of four characters: Emile, a French farmer who becomes a prisoner of war when looking for his son-in-law. Freddie, an American soldier fighting in honor of his fallen wife. Ana, a field medic — a "rose in the trenches — surrounded by blood and gore. The last is Karl, a German soldier lost in the trenches alone and sick with his love for Emile's daughter Marie. These four characters are accompanied through the horrors of war by a canine separated from its owner during an artillery attack. The dog not only helps the characters survive, but also guides players through action sequences and puzzles.
