Thor: Ragnarok writer to bring He-Man reboot to life for Sony

The writer that brought us the dreamy long blond haired hero in Thor: The Dark World and the upcoming Thor: Ragnorak is working on bringing us yet another blond haired muscular hero — this time with short hair (gasp).

He-Man is returning to Eternia, and Sony Pictures (along with Escape Artist) are planning on Christopher Yost writing the tale. The film will be a reboot of 1987's 'Masters of the Universe' He-Man film.

As Variety reports it, the film will be "set on the planet of Eternia, the story follows a warrior named Prince Adam who has the power to transform into the heroic He-Man. His nemesis is a villain named Skeletor who seeks to conquer a fortress known as Castle Grayskull in order to learn the secrets held within."
