THQ Nordic announces release date for its open-world Action RPG, ELEX

Go medieval and/or Sci-Fi this October.

Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Piranha Byes have been working in tandem on a hybrid Fantasy/Sci-Fi Open World Action-RPG called ELEX for some time now, first announcing the game to the world back in July 2015. It appears as though the game will meet its 2017 release window according to a new cinematic trailer that released earlier today. The game will launch on October 17th, 2017 across all platforms.

Here's the trailer:

ELEX takes place in a post-apocalyptic world called Magalan where a meteor has crash landed on the planet, leaving behind a mysterious and contested substance of the same name. Factions across the world have their own ideas regarding the use and/or consumption of ELEX, and conflict naturally erupts as a result. Piranha Bytes has previously talked at length about the nuances of its world, and GameZone even got an up close and personal look at ELEX back at Gamescom 2015.

ELEX releases this Fall on October 17th, 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
