THQ Nordic partners with Microsoft to bring physical PC version of Halo Wars 2 to retailers

PC gamers rejoice!

Halo Wars 2 will be dropping next month on Xbox One and PC, but up until now the only way to get it on PC was by getting a digital copy! THQ Nordic (developers of Darksiders) are partnering with Microsoft to bring the PC version of the RTS Halo game to store shelves.

Retail versions will come with 4 discs, high-quality packaging, and a digital copy for the Xbox One version of Halo Wars 2! There will be two versions you can buy, the standard edition and the Ultimate Edition. The standard version is just the game and the Ultimate Edition includes the game,  the season pass and a copy of the remastered version of Halo Wars on both Xbox One and PC. You can view the Ultimate Edition below.

THQ Nordic founder Lars Wingefors spoke on the partnership with Microsoft. “After working on so many titles together with Microsoft in 2016, we are stoked to start the year with another partnership. Being able to deliver such a big franchise to RTS and Halo fans alike, the opportunity to buy and own this game in a beautiful physical shape is something we appreciate a lot.”

Halo Wars 2 releases February 21st, 2017, but Ultimate Edition owners can start playing February 17th. The standard edition will be $59.99 and the Ultimate Edition will be $79.99.
