Hot on the heels of the announcement of Red Faction: Armageddon, THQ has revealed an upcoming downloadable title set in the Red Faction universe, Red Faction Battlegrounds. A battle-centric multiplayer game with a vehicular spin, Red Factions Battlegrounds will be released in 2011 for Xbox LIVE Arcade and Playstation Network.
Battlegrounds will focus on a variety of vehicle types including tanks and combat walkers while offering up the same brand of wanton destruction and realistic physics that the series has been known for. Additionally, as you move up in rank you’ll be able to unlock bonus content in Red Faction: Armageddon.
The game is being developed in house by THQ Digital Studios UK and executive produced by Volition Inc.
