Three games head to Xbox One via backward compatibility this week

Microsoft has brought three more games to the library of backward compatible titles on the Xbox One. All of the titles are available on disc or digitally if previously purchased. The new games come after a long break in updates.

The backward compatibility crew at Microsoft took a nice break during December and the holiday vacation has come to an end with the release of three games, two of which are classics.

Sniper Elite V2, Far Cry 2 and Driver San Francisco are available through the backward compatibility feature on the Xbox One.

Far Cry 2 first released in 2008 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. It was met with positive reception upon release, with some criticism reserved for glitches (which comes with most open world games). Sniper Elite V2 released in 2012 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox One, and saw a subsequent release in 2013 on the Wii U. The game saw mixed reviews across platforms. The PS3 and Xbox 360 version received an average of a 7/10, while the PC averaged a 6.5/10 and the Wii U scored around 5.5/10.
