TIL you can watch porn in 3D on your New Nintendo 3DS XL

Like most married men with children, I spend a lot of time in the bathroom — like Paul Rudd's character in This is 40. It's my alone time… quiet time. I use it to play some mobile games, maybe a little Monster Hunter, browse Reddit — you know, typical toilet stuff.

So while browsing my Front page Reddit feed, I came across a post from /r/3DS called "Lazy person way to watch porn in 3D." Now I watch my fair share of porn, like any other human being. But it never occurred to me to try watching porn on my 3DS. I have a computer for that. And a Vita. And my Note 4. And a tablet. I didn't view my 3DS as a porn-watching device. But now I have the New Nintendo 3DS XL with all that extra processing power.

So there I was, pretending to take a dump, and I opened up the link. It turns out that some popular porn-watching sites have videos that have stereoscopic layout, and the poster provided a link to a video with such a format. So I opened up my 3DS internet browser, typed in the URL, and the video showed up. Play the video, click the 3D option, and then choose the L/R 3D viewing format. BAM! Porn in 3D.

The quality is terrible, but yea, the porn is in 3D. I just can't see myself going through the hassle of finding porn in 3D, nor do I want to. I don't even enjoy movies in 3D — I sure as hell don't need my porn in 3D. That said, I'm sure the novelty is what some people are looking for. I also didn't know this until I searched the 3DS subreddit for 'porn', but there are a ton of sites devoted to porn viewing on your 3DS. I showed my wife because, ya know, Valentine's Day, but she was like, "You better get rid of that."

So for the 3D porn enthusiast that owns a 3DS, there ya go. But I'll use my 3DS for Monster Hunting, not porn hunting.
