Tinker Bell and Stitch announced for Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition

Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition's roster grew by two today, as Disney Interactive announced via a new trailer today that Tinker Bell and Stitch will be playable characters in the Toy Box 2.0 mode of the game.

"Goobaja! Bring on the magic. Bring on the mischief. Tinker Bell and Stitch are coming to the Disney Infinity Toy Box 2.0 Edition. Bring on the adventure with these two iconic Disney characters and create your own magical place in the Toy Box," Disney Interactive said of the characters' arrival.

Tinker Bell's most widely known appearance is probably from the 1953 animated Peter Pan film, but over the course of time she has quickly become more than just a side character. In fact, I'd say she's probably more recognizable now from her role as the central character in the Disney Fairies series. Stitch, on the other hand, is the mischievious yet lovable alien experimentation from the Lilo & Stitch animated film.

Both characters will have their own unique set of abilities that are only playable in the 2.0 edition of Disney Infinity. Each will be sold separately.

Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition was first unveiled back in April with the announcement that Marvel Super Heroes will join the roster. Included in the cast of characters are the principal cast of the Avengers — Captain America, Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye — as well as Spider-Man. As for the new Toy Box 2.0 mode, it'll include some structured play modes, like tower defense and dungeon crawler modes, in addition to the creative aspect.
