After the initial technical test left Titanfall fans less than impressed with gameplay, Respawn decided that the next technical test would be better. In order for the second Titanfall 2 technical test to offer a better experience, Respawn used player feedback to enhance some of the features that they had toned down.
According to preliminary statements, Respawn planned on addressing the lack of momentum, the Titan Meter, and the Titan movement. With so little time between tech tests, did Respawn do it? Yes.
The Titanfall 2 forums have been updated with patch notes detailing a number of changes, as well as an "Amped Happy Hour Event." One of the things that hasn't been fixed in the patch is the "Invite Friends" feature. It's still broken because they wanted to finish up the gameplay changes.
*Note: Be sure to download this patch before you play the second tech test.

TIME TO KILL
We think the abundance of Amped Weapons is a large contributor to lower time to kill. We’re still adjusting individual weapon balance for ship.
MOBILITY
Training is unaffected by these changes, ensuring Gauntlet records will remain valid.
TITAN TIMER
This value may be undertuned until we can take a pass at how much meter you earn from objectives.
