Titanfall beta extended a day; open to all Xbox LIVE Gold members and PC users

Late to the Titanfall party? Not a problem as Respawn Entertainment has announced plans to extend the game's beta by a day. It will now end on February 19 at 6:00pm PST.

Titanfall's beta began on February 14 and was slated to end on the morning of February 18. No explanation for the extension was given, but it could have something to do with the influx of players that have been invited to participate. Perhaps Respawn is looking to really test the servers. Originally the beta was invite-only, but over the weekend Respawn opened the flood gates. Now all Xbox One users with an Xbox LIVE Gold account and any PC user that registered through the official website is able to participate.

Again, we don't know the motivation for the extension, but do we really care? It's another day of Titanfall! To participate in the ongoing beta, simply download the client from either the Xbox LIVE Marketplace (Xbox One) or EA's Origin service. Unfortunately, there's still no word on a beta for the Xbox 360 version, which has been delayed until March 25. Titanfall will still launch for Xbox One and PC on March 11, though.
