Titanfall ‘surprises’ planned for Spike VGX

You've probably seen Titanfall — EA and Respawn Entertainment's highly anticipated online shooter, exclusive to Xbox One/360/PC. It's kind of a big deal.

Well, things are about to get even more exciting as Spike TV host Geoff Keighley teased during last night's Xbox One launch event that there are some "big surprises" for Titanfall planned for the VGX.

Respawn head Vince Zempella and community manager Abbie Heppe added that they will "surprise people with something new." And no, it's not going to be a map pack, as Keighley already debunked that theory.

This year's Spike VGX Awards will be live-streamed online for three hours on December 7, kicking off at 6pm ET/3pm PT. In addition to the awards, this year's show will have a stronger focus on interviews and demos for next-gen games, alongside the usual world-premiere game trailers.

Titanfall is due out in March 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
