Xbox and PC gamers can breathe easy knowing Titanfall, Respawn Entertainment's upcoming online shooter, won't have microtransactions. Alas, there will be no paying to win in this game.
It was confirmed on the studio's official Twitter feed, when responding to a fan who flat out asked about the hotly-debated business model.
@ShaunKehoe no microtransactions. I don't have any news on a season pass

What's interesting is the studio's noncommittal response to a Season Pass, something I think most of us would agree is pretty much a sure thing. An multiplayer online shooter? You know there are some additional multiplayer maps just waiting to be released as DLC. Maybe some other types of weapons and Titans as well. Point being, just about every game these days offers some sort of DLC and I don't think Titanfall will be any different.
Titanfall will be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on March 11, 2014 in North America and March 13, 2014 in Europe and Australia.
