Today’s GTA 5 patch 1.03 addresses character deletion

Earlier today, patch 1.03 for Grand Theft Auto 5 was released for Xbox 360 and PS3. While Rockstar has yet to provide official patch notes, the developer revealed that it addresses character deletion and other progress loss issues currently plaguing Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer portion of the game.

Responding to a fan via the Newswire comment section (via Gamepur), Rockstar wrote the following update:

"This Title Update that just went live on PSN – and is coming soon to Xbox LIVE – addresses character deletion and other loss of game progress. We'll be posting official info about it later today at the Newsire."

What Rockstar didn't mention, though, was the possbility that 1.03 disables mission restarts using the R2 buttons. Players have reported that this exploit, which was used to rapidly build up cash and reputation points by replaying the same high-paying mission over and over again, has been patched out.

So far no official posting has been made, but we are keeping a close eye on Rockstar's website for the official notes. Once posted, we'll be sure to share them with you.
