Today’s news that isn’t news: Peach joins Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS

In case this was ever in doubt, Nintendo has confirmed that Peach will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U and 3DS. Let's be serious, she was never going to be left out of the new Super Smash Bros., especially after being in the last two.

The inclusion of Peach brings the total amount of characters to 15. They are:

  • Peach
  • Luigi
  • Pikmin and Olimar
  • Villager
  • Mario
  • Donkey Kong
  • Mega Man
  • Wii Fit Trainer
  • Link
  • Samus
  • Kirby
  • Fox
  • Pikachu
  • Bowser
  • Pit

The new Super Smash Bros. is due out in 2014.
